Refund & Move-Out Policy

At AHL Secure Storage, our storage units are rented on a month-to-month basis to provide flexibility for our customers.

Monthly Rental Charges

Rental fees are charged monthly in advance based on your rental anniversary date. Customers are responsible for paying all rental charges until their unit is officially vacated and the move-out process is completed.

Move-Out Notice Requirement

Customers who wish to vacate their storage unit before their next rental anniversary date must provide a minimum of fourteen (14) days’ written notice.

Notice may be provided by email, in person, or through any approved communication method designated by AHL Secure Storage.

Failure to provide the required notice may result in rental charges continuing through the next billing period.

Prorated Refunds

If a customer moves out before the end of a paid rental period and has provided the required    14-day notice, unused rent will be refunded on a prorated basis.

Prorated refunds are calculated based on the number of unused days remaining in the rental period after the unit has been completely vacated and inspected.

Early Move-Out Administration Fee

A $5.00 administration fee will be deducted from all prorated refunds issued for early move-outs. This fee covers administrative processing associated with account adjustments and refund issuance.

Unit Condition

To qualify for any refund, the storage unit must be:

  • Completely emptied of all belongings;
  • Left in a clean condition;
  • Properly secured and returned according to move-out instructions; and
  • Formally checked out with management.

Refund calculations begin only after the unit has been verified as vacant.

Non-Refundable Charges

The following charges are non-refundable:

  • Administration fees;
  • Late payment fees;
  • Lock purchase fees;

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days following move-out verification. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method whenever possible.

Policy Changes

AHL Secure Storage reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. The current version of this policy will be available on our website and at our office.
